Behavioral health conditions (including both mental health and substance use disorders) account for 7.4% of global disease burden (Murray et al., 2012). My research has examined who accesses behavioral health care and what prevents those in need from accessing care, the quality of care behavioral health treatment providers deliver, and whether there are, and what predicts, clients’ long-term sustained treatment effects.
